ESi’s multidisciplinary team includes engineers with industry and OEM experience in the areas of design, manufacturing, strength, durability, quality, reliability, root-cause failure analysis, restraints, crashworthiness, Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), batteries, electrical certification, new software and hardware validation, defect containment, and warranty analysis, among others.
Our multidisciplinary approach includes data collection (3D scans, drones, etc.), crash reconstruction, biomechanics and injury assessment, human factors, industry compliance, simulations, state-of-the-art in-house laboratories, instrumentation and hands-on testing, and visualization.
ESi has helped manufacturers worldwide address allegations of product defects or malfunctions related to design, production, and recalls. We have investigated unintended movement or acceleration claims, airbag non-deployments, component failures, loss of control, ADAS systems, rollover events involving ROPS, occupant kinematics, thermal events, and post-collision fuel-fed fires, among others.
These investigations cover passenger and commercial vehicles, electric vehicles (EVs), motorcycles, recreational products, bicycles, scooters, snowmobiles, PWCs, and agricultural equipment.
