ESi's power generation experts have broad experience investigating failures in power plants and power plant equipment. Our team can also analyze process conditions and evaluate the condition of safety devices, piping, and emergency shutdown valves.
Our expertise spans fossil fuel, nuclear, hydroelectric, battery storage and combined-cycle power. Failure investigations have included boiler tubes; axial, centrifugal and screw compressors; steam and hydraulic systems; and gas turbines (stationary and marine). We also have electrical engineering expertise in generation, high-voltage transmission, substations and distribution.
The commissioning process involves inspecting, preparing, and testing systems and equipment to ensure they meet design criteria. ESi's investigations review commissioning plans, evaluate pre-testing and testing procedures, and assess the roles and responsibilities of the commissioning team.
