Materials Science & Engineering

ESi's materials team consists of broadly experienced consultants available to address client needs related to a variety of materials including metal alloys, composites, polymers, elastomers, ceramics, electronics, glass, and building materials. The team works in almost every industry, discipline, and incident area, as most projects involve some type of material question or concern.

With six materials testing laboratories in ESi locations across the country, we are client responsive and well equipped to accommodate technical investigations and joint, multiparty inspections.

The majority of our more than 20 consultants and engineers hold advanced degrees and are professionally licensed. Their diverse expertise positions us to efficiently accommodate varying scales of engagements, from industrial failure analysis and testing, to smaller insurance claims, to complex, multiple-scope claims and litigation requiring different disciplines and backgrounds. Practice members often engage with other practices and expertise across ESi, beneficially leveraging a comprehensive approach, as needed, for client benefit.
