Arion Gross

Mr. Gross is a Senior Technologist located in the Omaha, Nebraska office of Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) and has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Design Technology from Iowa Western. He is part of ESi’s Laboratory and Field Technologist group.

Mr. Gross’s design background consists of almost a decade of experience using 3D CAD modeling software such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and Solid Edge. His design work has been used to develop test fixturing, reverse engineering, cloud files to solid models, FEA analysis, 3D printing and rendering.

He is a certified FARO operator and lead presenter for ESi’s 3D Laser Scanning group. He has used scan data to recreate accident scene locations, surveying, and part modeling. Mr. Gross is also familiar with capturing accident scene locations by using a combination of laser scanning and drone data.

Mr. Gross also holds a Part 107 sUAS (small Unmanned Aerial System) license to operate a drone for commercial purposes. He is familiar with using ground control stations. He has done numerous aerial photos on accident locations to provide surveying and photogrammetry with DJI drone equipment. Types of scene locations captured by Mr. Gross using drone data include railway accidents, roadway accidents, and roof inspections.
