Joseph F. Arruda, III

Mr. Joseph Arruda has over 26 years of experience in consulting, failure analysis, laboratory procedures, and testing. He has performed failure analysis investigations on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components for recreational, commercial and industrial vehicles, and light civil aircraft. He specializes in the maintenance of automobile, truck and light civil aircraft systems, components, tires, and the standard of care for automotive and aviation maintenance personnel and facilities.

Mr. Arruda has been continuously recognized as a certified Master Automotive Technician by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for more than 37 years running. He has certifications in the specialized areas of Advanced Engine Performance and Hybrid and Electric Vehicles. Mr. Arruda has attended factory training for truck air brakes at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems and Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Service and Technology at Automotive Career Development Center (ACDC).

Mr. Arruda also has more than 30 years of experience as a certified Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Technician (AMT) and holds a current FAA Inspection Authorization. He has completed manufacturer training courses at Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) Aviation Technician Advanced Training Program and Lycoming Engine Service School and Disassembly/Reassembly Courses. He is a certified private pilot with single and multi-engine land ratings.
