ESi is pleased to welcome Jean "Jon" van Poppel, P.E. to the team as a Senior Consultant in our Auto and Marine practice. Mr. van Poppel will be based in our Houston office, where he brings a wealth of experience in automotive engineering, including eight years in accident reconstruction and 15 years as a Principal Product Engineer for a tier 1 automotive supplier of restraint systems. While there, Mr. van Poppel was responsible for developing airbag and seatbelt systems to be used in the serial production of new vehicles - and ensuring the designs met or exceeded all requirements for frontal, side and rollover crash mode conditions.
