ESi Welcomes Joseph Mohorovic

Aurora, IL (June 7, 2019) – Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is pleased to announce that Joseph Mohorovic has joined the firm's Safety and Risk Assessment practice as a Sr. Managing Consultant in our Aurora, Illinois office. Mr. Mohorovic is a board-certified product safety expert and former Commissioner on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). His real-world experience in both the private and public sectors enables him to provide critical insights and perspectives when he investigates, reports on, and testifies in matters related to consumer product safety, regulatory compliance, “defect” determination and recall effectiveness.

Former Commissioner Mohorovic was vetted by the White House and confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate, along with serving four years as an elected State Representative in the New Mexico Legislature. In his CPSC role, Mr. Mohorovic worked effectively with diverse stakeholder groups, including consumer product manufacturers, retailers, industry associations, nongovernmental organizations, and key members of the federal executive and legislative branches. He is a seasoned speaker and educator, familiar with legal proceedings, and can articulate regulatory theories in the product safety field in clear and concise terms.

Before his appointment to the CPSC, Mr. Mohorovic was an executive with Intertek, a global leader in inspection, product testing and certification. At Intertek, Mr. Mohorovic led multinational teams in providing compliance and risk management services to some of the world's largest consumer brands and most complex supply chains.
