ESi Welcomes William Broz, P.E., MBA, LEED AP

Irvine, California (Oct 27, 2020) – ESi is pleased to announce that William Broz, P.E., MBA, LEED AP^® has joined the company as a Senior Managing Consultant in our Mechanics practice. Based in our Irvine, California office, Mr. Broz is a licensed mechanical engineer with 40+ years of technical and business leadership experience, and a strong background in forensic engineering consulting and construction claims management. He offers clients a broad spectrum of expertise in the design and failure analysis of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and power and process piping.

Bill’s track record of accomplishments spans multiple industries and geographies – from managing the design of a $150 million recovery boiler system at a major pulp and paper mill, to advising on a $60 million technical dispute for an Australia-based construction project in international arbitration. Several of his projects have won national design awards, and he has become a “go-to” resource for clients with large, complex projects, whether they involve commercial, residential, or industrial facilities.”

Before joining ESi, Mr. Broz was a Senior Managing Engineer at Exponent, where he advised clients on projects involving construction defects, design standard-of-care, property/casualty claims and patent disputes. He also served as Associate Vice President for Arcadis, where he provided consulting services for construction claims, including forensic schedule analysis and evaluation of cumulative impact. 

Highly respected by his peers, Mr. Broz is a sought-after presenter at industry forums, and has numerous publications to his name. He is also a strong advocate of sustainable design and development and led the mechanical engineering design of the first project certified as LEED Gold for the U.S. Department of Transportation.
